Wet brick concern?

Pictures of an east facing shaded wall of my 1 yr old extension,

as you can see water is rising right up to the DPC line,

do i need to be concerned?

Is it rising damp or is it just the rain splashing dirt up off the ground.

Bricks often (virtually always) get dirty low down.

What's the carrier bag grade plastic hanging out of the wall above the air brick?

Looks more like you have a damaged/leaking mains water pipe in the locality!

I see you have an air brick so presumably a suspended timber floor.

have a look under the floor

it might be a leaking pipe

are the gutters above sound? water should not be falling at the base of the wall

is building work still going on? could water be running into that area?

Its not a leaking pipe, (none in that area)

Retaining wall with higher land 1.5m away from wall, i am guessin that i am gettin water running from higher level into area.

and the plastic was just a covering to protect lower brick when wall was getting build(should get finger out and fully remove it)

I have cleaned it all up and it seems to have dried out, duno if it is just muck and excess dirt from the build, and i am being a bit paranoid!?

Not rising just splash damp, will last much longer in a shaded spot.
