Dear Experts,

What’s the difference between:

“Gypsum based. Designed for jointing plasterboards when drylining and for levelling wall irregularities. Easy to sand in preparation for decorating. Perfect for filling and smoothing walls, ceilings and plasterboard repairs”

and

“Gypsum-based filler ideal for jointing plasterboards when drylining and for levelling wall irregularities. Easy to sand. Suitable for for filling, smoothing walls, ceilings and plasterboard repairs.”

?

I have just finished a bag of the former. The latter is slightly cheaper.

Wickes have some more expensive products from Gyproc and Knauf. Would I notice the difference?

I’m just jointing and filling over screw holes on new plasterboard.

Thanks.

I think they are all very similar although different recipe.
When you get used to one with how it feels and how it sands, just stick to it.
I used easyfill for years then switched to toupret powder.
I used a box of Wickes own last year and found it different to use but I liked it.

To answer.
They are all a bit different but do the same job. I'd say pick one and stick to it so you get used to it and understand how it works. If you struggle try something else.

Tip
Damp sponge around filled ages as you go can help. Just try for interest.
