Hi,

I have removed an old fireplace from my flat, the hole has been covered and now I’m left with a rectangular ‘hole’ in the concrete floor, almost uniformly about an inch deep.

I need to fill this to bring the floor up to level. I intend to lay parquet floor over it so needs be flat. The question I have is, what should I fill it with; levelling compound, mortar, concrete or something else?

Thanks
