What do they mean by landlord certificate

Doing a job at the moment for someone who rents properties. They asked me if I can issue a landlord certificate. Would I test & inspect the complete installation & issue a PIR or a EIC ?

A PIR is a report on an existing installation.

AN EIC is a certificate of compliance for a new installation or part thereof.

So, it sounds like you need to do a PIR.

ok, so do a PIR, list any faults if any, repair faults (after quoting), issue MW or EIC.

So a "clean" PIR is good enough for a landlord cert ?

There is no electrical equivalent of the Gas Cert. Many landlords blanch at spending any money at all least of all a full PIR each time there's a change of tenancy.
