What is this filler??

I was on a job today and some external joinery work had been repaired with a filler i have not come across before.
The filler was red/orange in colour slightly transparent and very much like hard plastic, it bonds to timber really well.
Any ideas on what it is??? maybe some type of resin filler??? certainly not your average 2 part filler.
