Hello,

2 images of my living room wall.

I've stripped the wallaper and found -

There is a grey plaster
Above that is a thin yellowish layer marked with a green pattern. It flakes off like paint.
Above that is an orange-ish layer.
The green pattern only appears on the lower section of the wall. It doesn't scrape off separate to the yellow layer and it doesn't wash off with bleach.

I'm concerned it might be mould, but am surprised it's in such a geometric pattern. What do you think it is?

hi had a close look at your pics, it looks to me like the remnants of an old glazed paint effect common in older houses, the marks that seem geometric are from a later wallpaper stuck over the glaze it has simply transfered onto the surface! some old wallpapers had an almost ink type print in them that used to bleed through any attempts to overpaint wallcoverings of this kind.
hope this helps.
