What next?

I've been stripping the paper off the bedroom ceilings and have had no real problems until the last one I did today. All the others I just stripped down and then painted a few coats with white emulsion and they look fine. Here's what I got today

Anyone know what I can do with it? Because I'm guessing that if I do what I have done with the others and just paint it that it's not going to look very good

Its just filler that been badly applied and cracked, fill and make good, rub down. apply 1/2 mist coats over the area , then carry on as before with the emulsion.
