When pricing a job if the customer insists on Dulux emulsion being used would you just buy it off the shelf, the retail stuff? B&Q sell 2.5 litres for around £15. If you're pricing up a large house with many rooms it would cost hundreds!! A job I looked at the other day will need around 80 litres of coloured emulsion for the walls so you're looking at about £480!
