Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum, so please be gentle with me.

I want to replace the 2 radiators in my living room with new, and hopefully, more efficient ones.
The room has never been very warm, which I assume is because the radiators are very old.
I've been onto several sites on the net to use the BTU calculators, but they all give vastly different results.
The room is 5.7m x 3.4m x 2.45m with 6.5m2 of windows.
I want to use the smallest radiators that I can so they use up the least amount of wall space possible.

If it is of any use, the boiler we have is a Worcester combi 350.

Any help and advice would be great, thanks, Martin.

Assuming 2 outside walls and NO cavity insulation the total for your lounge would be 2.6Kw = 8871 btu.

If you have cavity insulation it would reduce to 2.2Kw = 7506 btu.

(Industry standard Mears calculator)

Oops, forgot to say, 3 outside walls and cavity wall insulation, but I don't think it was done very well.

Thats great mate, thanks.
Does it make any difference that the floor is concrete and not floor boards?

P.S. The windows are double glazed.

Cheers, Martin.
