what to treat oak breakfast bar and sink surround with

Hi I have a nice oak round breakfast bar that is untreated. I want to treat it with something to protect it from water and staining. Can you recommend a product please?

I also have a piece of oak sideboard that a bathroom sink is on that requires the same treatment.

Kitchen counter varnish / hardwearing and moisture resistant unless scratched, but once it is damaged it requires sanding it down and starting again.

Oil / not hardwearing, not moisture resistant, but easier to patch repair
