What to use?

Hi, just taken this wall back to brick and there's a flexible kind of board at the bottom of the wall. What would work best to fill? Can I just use bonding or will it crack any help please?

Looks more like block than brick. What flexible board are you referring to? The mesh?

The grey bit looks like block bit it isn't some kind of board
