What type of pump to use to boost hot water supply to bath?

Got called out to a new bathroom installation where the flow of hot water to the bath was to a ceramic mixer tap, quarter turn handles.Hot water supplied from cylinder 36 x 18 indirect. cold water off the mains is excellent but the hot water is only coming out at about 5 litres a minute. Would i be right in saying that ceramic mixer taps are mainly for combi/ pressurized systems? By fitting an essex flange in to the cylinder and running a separate 22 supply to the bath, what type of pump is available to boost the supply? Customer has 2 young children and needs quicker filling bath. The company who did the original work made an excellent job of everything else but now are not returning the phone calls regarding the low hot water flow to the bath. The head of water to the cylinder is approx. 3m. Any suggestions please?

You need a 'bronze' home booster pump.

Yes you are correct that these taps will be designed for mains presure.

Thanks for that.Do you have to cut a flow switch into the pipework to bring the bronze pump into action?

why you running a seperate feed just install pump in the original pipework.
and the pump has flow switch fitted.

Thanks, will give it a go into the original pipework. Where would you buy one of these pumps, is it a special order or will the likes of plumbcenter or bes have them?

Any good supplier should have them in stock or be able to source them for you.
Would changing the taps not be a better idea ?.

The lady of the house picked the taps etc. to make it a designer looking bathroom They have been boxed in and tiled in so to speak, and it would make a right mess to change it
