Whats a good alternative to Economy 7 heaters?

Hmmm, sounds expensive. :)
I plan to move in 1 - 2 years, so not looking to spend out lots.
(I will have a look at Wet central heating and electric boiler as I havnt heard about these before).

The big advantage with storage heaters using the Economy 7 tariff, is that they heat up during the night using electricity that costs approximately one third for the normal rate. That heat is then released in the day.

The panel radiator in your link will produce heat whenever it is switched on. So if used during the day, this will consume electricity at the normal price.

So, if you are happy with your heating bill increasing 3 fold, then panel radiators will give you more control than storage heaters, but at a price.

The same will of course apply to an electric boiler and radiators if used during the day. Plus you will have to find about 5 thousand pounds for the equipment and installation depending on the size of your property.

Oil filled radiators with built in thermostats and timers. You get some quite nice wall hung ones.

Thanks guys - useful suggestions here - Ill take a closer look at lunch.:)
