What's going on with the rules?

Some of the rules seem to be missing. Have they been moderated? Also, what does this one mean?

I think it maybe the mods lock the post temparory while editing the post then unlock it again.

seems strange to lock whilst editing. can they not just edit it? (when was the last time you had to lock the thread to edit your reply?)

Perhaps 'Lock' is a mis-spelling?

I think it could be a feature of this particular Bulletin Board Software. I used to Mod one a few years back that had the same "issue". The Mods and Admin may not have a choice in this....Just a thought.
