What's the point of the "Media" heading?

Following the Media heading I get to a page of pictures that have been uploaded, I can view one, leave a comment etc.
i.e.

What I cannot do is see or access the thread that this refers to?
How do I do that?

I think, only by searching for posts, by the author, on the date it was added...

When I opened my albums and had a look in one, if I opened an image 'in a new tab' I get the following, which shows the thread it was posted in:

What I'm getting at, is that there is no clear link direct to the post that the chosen media is in.

This could so easily be done without the need for us to go searching etc.

How would you find out where a photo in your album has been used in a thread without finding the actual photo in your album?

Besides since they introduced the attach files tab I don't think I've added anything to an album.

I'm not referring to any of my media, the MEdia link under the top headings seems to be just for all media uploaded.

Not sure what benefit it is really?
