Which adhesive?

Firstly, hi!

I'm after some advice finding an adhesive to stick artificial grass to concrete outside. I did buy some evo-stick waterproof adhesive in a mastic cartridge but I suspect that the 'grass' is polyurethane and this stuff is unsuitable.

Can anyone recommend something that will do the job? You can buy specialist adhesives for the job but they are online order only and cost the earth.

I was thinking about Puraflex 40 but I'm not sure how well it works as an adhesive?

Any suggestions much appreciated, thanks.

Ok, so just checked and the turf is actually made of Polypropylene.... not sure that helps much.

I have done a sample (stuck an off cut to a brick) with Puraflex 40. So far no adhesion (it's just wet mastic) but it does say 24 hours to cure so hopefully it'll take...

Thanks Foxhole,

I've seen a couple of different products for sale by specialists (although to be fair this is much cheaper than most!) and they all conveniently neglect to say what the adhesive actually is...

I'm sure there must be something I can pick up from Toolstation or similar for less and not have to pay and wait for postage.

Well in the end I've stuck it down with Puraflex 40 and it's done the job nicely. It's not the strongest if you really try and peel it up (although it's partially the grass backing that gives way) but it's very strong in sheer so wont give with people walking over it. It's also remains slightly flexible which is ideal.

As a side, I did email Bostik to see what they recommended and they came back to suggest their Evo-Sport 2000. The major advantage would be that it's green so wont show if any managed to seep through, but I couldn't find anywhere that would stock it for general sale in part cases.
