Which carpet underlay?

I have seen a few types of underlay when looking for a bargain on the internet. We normally just have the rubbery one and didn't know there were so many types! I have seen wool felt and felt with rubber. Are these any better than my normal underlay!!?? (they are both a really good price on ebay so is this a bad sign?1) Its for an upstairs room which seems to accumulate all the neighbours noise so want a bit of soundproofing too! Is this too much to ask from mere underlay!?

What at the door the next day!.

Good sound proofing, but we got a thick carpet also. Just be warned about the height of the doors above the floor as we had to take a couple up!

That looks good. I'm not sure how thick the stuff we have in other rooms is but is alot cheaper than buying it from the carpet shop! We were charged £200 for 15 sqaure metres! Shame the carpet isn't on the net too!
