Which suitable supply for timer?

I need your help or suggestion;

I want to install fluorescent lamp outside my house using timer but I'm really confuse on how to connect.

Can I connect directly to the power supply or taking supply from 13A socket power? Because if I directly take from DB (Power supply) it too far - it takes long cable going there.

Any suggestions from this forum..Your comments or suggestions are really appreciate..
