When we bought our flat the previous owner left the washing machine - an "old" looking indesit. It doesn't work, it's like the dial gets stuck, so we have to manually keep moving the dial to get it started again. We don't want to throw good money after bad, so we thought we'd get another one as opposed to trying to repair a machine we don't know how old is or how it's been working before. Are we being stupid not to try to repair it?

However, we'll probably not be staying at this place for more than 3-4 years, and I can imagine we'd leave the machine in the flat when selling again. So it doesn't have to last for very long, really, we just want something as cheap as possible.

Any recommendations as to make or where to buy it? And is the installation something we can do ourselves? And is there a special place to dispose of the old one?
