We've had this built-in dishwasher for at least ten years and use it about 7 times a week. Recently, it's been playing up. It has been stopping before the end of its cycle with the first (rinse) light on continuously, the light next to the start button flashes at a constant rate and the thing beeps. I usually restart it and all is well. More recently, it had started squeaking badly.

Today, it stopped. It will pump out the water/refresh the softner, fill with water and heat it. However, nothing squirts or washes. I can reset it and it does the same. I don't know if it has two pumps, but if it does, the second one could be broken.

I have a simple question at this stage: should I
a) try and fix it,
b) get a man in, or
c) go and get a replacement in the sales?

Btw, it also has a broken door spring...

After further investigation, it looks like the circulating pump is knackered. Being obsolete now, I guess I'm going for option (c)...
