Have got a whirlpool ADG 957 dishwasher that has stopped working. It is making a beeping sound, but it is as if it doing Morse code. The beeping goes through its sequence and then starts again. When you open the door the rinse light comes on regardless of what program selected and the start light continually flashes. Have read on a thread that this could be the temperature sensor, but in the symptoms there the beeping was constant. Any ideas???

Test Mode

Make sure the appliance is empty of water before running Diagnostics as it does not pump out before starting to fill and therefore you could overfill the appliance.
Open the door and set the program to the first program. (Normally rinse).
Turn the power off.
Press and hold the start button and while holding turn the power on.
After a little while the start button will flash, release the button.
Press the start button once and close the dishwasher door.
The machine will now run through a diagnostic routine.
If memory serves me right it takes about 20 mins.
The machine will stop during diagnostics if an error is found and will display the error code. If no error is found it will complete the diagnostics and end the programme.

To exit diagnostics at any time just press and hold the start button till the programme is cancelled.

Reason I ask is that the machine stops after making various cracking noises, odd beeps and then flashes the "eco Bio 50" light constantly. Any ideas or is it time for a new one?

looks like something stuck in the pump glass /china etc

Apologies for bumping such an old thread. But i have one of these machines and it has a problem too.

Sometimes when i try to start it it will beep a constant tone, and stop working.

Other times it does work and finishes but will then beep until it is turned off.

can anyone offer any advice as im sick of manual washing up now.

Hi, I have ADG 957 also.

I performed the self-test, but shortly after start two LEDs are blinking (both from 65 degrees programmes - one is blinking, second is dimming).

sorry to bump an old thread guys but pleeeaaase can anyone help me? I've runt he diagnostic and the first & third lights are flashing - how do I know what error code that is? I suspect it's a heat thing.
Basically, hen put on any cycle, it sounds like it's working for 5 mins and then just starts beeping like a maniac and won't stop so I reset and we do the dance again.
Thanks for any help at all :)

anyone please? I just phoned Whirlpool, they had no interest in my problem and no interest in the model number or anything, 4 different departments, one told me running the diagnostic was a waste of time so I need an engineer, 2 said the diagnostic can only fault an entire area and couldn't name a part and one told me I needed a module but she was not even listening to anything I said and I don't believe she asked anyone.

I ran the diagnostic thingy and the 1st and 3rd lights are flashing, I just need to know what error code that would be? Whirlpool are so awful to deal with, I wish I hadn't phoned them

Apologies for bumping such an old thread. But i have a problem too.

First any program i put it start beeping and when open the door the light of rinse is on and start light flashing continiously. And don't drenage.

During diagnostic cicle it starts making nonstop sound , at the same time 65° indicator is lit and 55° indicator is blinking. Altogether.

PLEASE HELP!!!!!
