Whirlpool ADG 7550 Dishwasher keeps beeping

Hi, I have a 4yr old integrated Whirlpool ADG 7550 Dishwasher which keeps beeping? When I select a wash cycle and start it, the machine runs for about 1 minute and then stops, and beeps and beeps continually. When I open the door it has switched from wash to rinse cycle and the light is flashing 6 times? Whats wrong, please help.
