Whirlpool DWH C00 W water too hot

A few days ago the dishwasher started washing with water that is too hot. No matter what program you select, the water is scalding hot. After the wash program is over, the machine also seems to stay warm indefinitely.

Any ideas? A broken Thermostat, maybe?
