Whirlpool Washing Machine just buzzes

I filled my washing machine with clothes and it filled with water and when it came to the wash cycle it just buzzes. I tried it in the wash cycle and the spin cycle and all it will do is buzz. It is like it is trying to run but it doesn't. It still has water and clothes in it.
It is a Whirlpool about 10 years old.
