Discovered white crust around compression joints and isolating valves around central heating pump.. Does it need attention? No leaks found.

Clean it off, make sure the compression nuts are secure, and keep an eye on them. You may have a weep. If you do tighten nuts, only nip them a bit, don't over-tighten.
