White marks on washing.

We have a Hotpoint Aquarius WD440 Washer/Dryer, and for the last few months our washing has had white marks on it.
We use a liquid detergent, which is placed in a cap and placed on the washing.
Did think it maybe calcium, but we live in Devon, which is a soft water area.

Any ideas worried that a new machine may not solve the problem.

Put a cup of white vinegar (warmed) in the dispenser drawer and run a hot cycle with no clothes in, this should clear it out- this worked for me, it was just limescale and built up undissolved detergent.

If not have you checked the lint filter?
