The NHS can eat as much money as is thrown at it and would still want more. If left unchecked it would end up costing more than the country generates. Many NHS staff earn wages that simply wouldn't exist in the real world outside of it.

1) the NHS cost per capita is lower than many other health systems

2) increasing NHS are directly related to people living linger and combined with NHS being th dumping ground for cuts from other services like elderly care, social services, mental health services

3) many NHS staff earn less than they could other countries and less than the private sector
