I tried to make quite a long and detailed post asking for comments on the new thermostats I was considering in the heating forum.
With no explanation the post was deleted, twice. Please can someone explain why?
There has been lots of discussion of stats and heating control options in that forum in the past. I was asking for feedback about selection of the stats, not advice on installing them or touching the gas side of things (clearly that's for a gas safe installer).
After the first deletion I re-read the rules and reposted without links to the shopping sites on which I'd found the prices (thinking maybe such links fell under the no-advertising rule). I added an extra line asking the mods to explain if there was still any problem with my post. It go deleted without explanation again.
Just deleting posts in this manner is a really rubbish and hostile way to treat new users.
