Hi. We had a condensing boiler fitted 2 months ago, and yesterday it decided to go a bit wrong. It is permanently on; even when the timer is off, or on auto, and the only way to turn it off is to have the thermostat turned to practically freezing (not great in the mornings).
Any ideas?

Im not a plumber, I think the only reason it can be is.
1 frost stat (where is the boiler)
2 the timer is broke or not wired correctly.

The experts will be here soon..

the question you should ask is has it ever worked correctly? if yes then the timmer is fauly and in no the wiring is not correct

if it was frost protection it would still fire when there is no demand on the stat or clock

It has worked properly in the past, only failed last night. And it shouldn't be frost protection as there would be a "p" on the device apparently.

well it sounds like the programmer witch should be under warranty with the supplier

as i said before if you turn the room stat down and the boiler still fires that posably is the frost protection at this time of yr

with it of and nothink happening i would say it was the programmer

After 1 hour and 20 mins on hold with the fitters, have got someone coming out on Monday! Thanks for suggestions, unless anyone can think of a way to fix it before then?!

Possible Microswitch on motorised valve sticking and valve passing what valves have you got
