Hi can anyone assist in my plastering conundrum.

first point we need to insulate sound and fire proof the ceiling of a shop/cafe with flat above, so we were thinking to do:

put rockwool 75mm slabs between joists
then overboard with sound board
then overboard with fire board

Is this overkill? or what could be better for cost but also for best safety??

second part - anyone have advice on the right type of thermal plasterbaord for outside walls - thinking of using celotex pl4000 35 or 40 mm thick or Gyproc thermailine plus 40mm (the celotex is 12.5mm board and gyproc is 9.5mm board then both with the insulation behind it)

Any advice would be a massive help!

Yes this the correct method you have mentioned above, I would make sure that the boards are screwed into place it depends how many minutes fire resistance you want as one fireline board only provides 30mins, id double the fireline board then soundsheild over that.
