Will this damp plaster cause problems?

For the last two months I have has a rather alarming patch of growing damp turning mouldy on my dining room ceiling. After much searching, last night I finally worked out the source - a radiator on the floor above which leaks if left on when cold. The radiator can be easily fixed but what do I do about the damp patch?

I know that it can be sprayed with Stain-spray to hide it and repainted but there is a considerable area of damp dust and fluff, not to mention plaster that I'm worried will seep through again and maybe cause more damage unless it is somehow dried. Anyone got any ideas?

Feel free to move me to painting and decorating or plumbing.
