Hello,

I have recently had most of my house replastered. The plasterer has done a very neat job but i notice in most of the window reveals where the plaster either meets the door or the window, there are very fine hairline cracks appearing. They dont move back into the plaster but are more on the join where the plaster touches the upvc frame. Question is, in your opinions is it worth raking the plaster out and putting something such as painters mate back in? or is this just a waste of time? Thanks.

Plaster has no movement.
uPVC will move with temperature change.
I would not dig out..
Window sealant or polymer like CT1 will flex and can be painted over with waterbased paint unlike silicone.
Caulk will work but eventually dries out and cracks sometimes.
