Window leaking water when it rains

Hi.

Our window drip leaks when it rains outsiDe.

I presume I have to seal outside and in?

What’s best product to remove and add new seal?

Is that the top of the window?
Can you post a overall pic inside and outside and an outside one showing the window and all the way upto the roof.

If that is the top it could be bigger problems than just a bit of sealing up although it never hurts to check and replace any bad bits.

It’s a large window. And it comes from topbetween frame and wall

Can I remove the top bead of seal and change that? Or do I have to remove ALL sealant around frame?

Typically how much silicone tubes do I nee for 1 fairly large window

Do just the top - get 1 tube of Neutral Curing Silicone, or polysulphide.

It probably is shrunken silicone, depending on the gap once you've peeled away the old it could take one tube for an acceptable gap of 5 to 10mm, anymore than that or even any gap I'd probably foam as well, another thing I've noticed is the window doesn't seem to be set back that much, that doesn't help your issue

I was thinking that too.

While your up there may as well reseal it all to be sure. LMN silicone (low modulus, Neutral cute) about £2 per tube from somewhere like Eurocell.
Make sure the surfaces are clean and dry before sealing up.
Sealant wants to cover the frame by about 3-4mm and a bit further out on the brick 5-6mm.
If you not very good with a silicone gun I would recommend masking taping the frame and brick first then you will get nice clean straight lines.
