Hello

Can anyone recommend a type.of window or window film that will prevent even silhouettes from being seen from the outside bathroom window, even on a dark night with bathroom light on?

I did email a manufacturer and they said
"you can have a glass called reflective float that you can see out but not in it looks like a mirror from outside."
But I don't know if that includes when it's dark outside and light inside.
Any help appreciated

Blackout curtain, blind or shutters.

Anything else will allow shadows / silhouettes to be seen. If you are that concerned someone is watching your bathroom window.

No film can completely do that, and still allow light in, during daylight.

The only film or even glass that I can think that would do the job is satin/etched for that sandblasted acid etched look, translucent enough not to block much light but obscure enough to block out silhouettes

Agree with Crank39 .. satin ( or satinova) is probably the best whatever you do , DO NOT use solar reflective or mirrored film...when it's dark outside and you put that light on your bathroom is suddenly very visible!

I found that even having textured glass with an added 'rough' film on, you could still see good outline silhouettes of occupants bodies. Ie you could tell they were brushing their teeth. Or in the shower.

I added a white roller blind (not blackout) so the light still entered the room (the blind acts like a big white illuminated square) but completely stops silhouettes being seen from outside.
