A few years back, I removed a socket. Can't recall if it had a purpose or what it was, but hid the individual wires behind some tiles. A few months later, I noticed a socket which is further along the wall stopped working. Interesting, another socket further along still works.

Anyway. I am re tiling and wondered whether I can do something to get that plug socket that stopped working, working.

I still don't need the socket that I removed where all the wires are.

The socket marked 1 is where all the wires are. Seems to be 2 cables coming down into the hole and 1 cable coming up into it.

Any idea how I can wire this so I can get the socket 2 working

This is a good example of why you shouldn't **** with stuff if you don't know what you're doing.

Judging by the fact there's 3 wires in there, I'd say this socket was part of the ring and your socket that doesn't work was a spur from this one. By removing the socket you've split the ring into 2, leaving you without overload protection on your socket circuit and at risk of fire.

Turn of the power and use 3-way wagos to connect the browns, blues and earths back together. Should really have the ring tested for continuity afterwards.
