I have what was described as a Vortex overide switch in my airing cupboard, My problem is the boiler is switched on and i can hear it fire to provide water but no hot water comes from the boiler (Open system glowarm energy saver 50e with a thermal tank in airing cupboard) I turn it off for 2 mins and switch it back on and water gets hot from boiler, RGI came today to cost a new system and stated it was probably Vortex overide switch faulty I had a new one as spare as i got one b4 when having problems however i have changed it and problems is still there.
Also when i swopped it a brown live wire was hanging out i dont know if it came off when i took the cover off but i wired it up as
1,live to live out
2, orange to trig
3,flapping wire to live
4,blue to neutral

Does this seem ok or should both lives go together ( i dont think so)
but boiler has stopped passing hot water twice in 6 hours since.

RGI swears by Vaillant are they a good buy as they seem expensive

Thanks
