hi, I hope somebody can help.

I have an extractor fan that is also connected to a light above the mirror. they both turn on when the main bathroom light comes on and it also has a timer so it stays on for a bit when the main light goes off. both the light and the fan can be turned off via an external isolator switch above the bathroom door.

Anyway I needed to replace the extractor fan, but STUPIDLY didn't note down what went where, however I am convinced it was like the attached photo, however I am still encountering problems. I can get the fan to work, but the light has stopped working. I have tested the bulb with a multimeter (my skills with this are pretty basic) but it seems to be ok. the light fitting is not that old so I don't think that has given up on me yet.

If anyone could suggest the way I should be wiring this up I would be eternally grateful as I am on my ar*e financially at the moment and can really do without having to get an electrician out...

thanks for any help - bert

ps the attached photo doesnt show the extractor fan - this was literally 3 cables connected to the connection block - I only took it off as it was dangling down in the way...

oh and the 2 cables on the left were already like that - I havent touched those
