Wiring an ST6100 timer switch

I need some more help from you guys again!

I've just bought a Honeywell ST6100 timer switch to operate my 250W radiator element. The wiring instructions aren't particularly user friendly I found (partcularly for the DIYer). I'm proposing to wire as follows...

Does it look OK?

The switch is 3Amp fused whereas the radiator is 5Amp. What I don't understand is why a 5A fuse for a 250W appliance drawing 1A? Do you think the switch is suitable?

Your lives look OK but I would put the neutral load cable in with the neutral feed cable, both in the terminal marked N .

The current rating of your switch is fine for your connected load of around 1amps. Don't get confused with fuse sizes in plugs or FCU's. There primary function is to protect the cable not the connected load.

Cheers Pensdown. Putting the neutral load with the feed makes sense. Can't believe I missed it!
