Hi

I've just got a new dual fuel cooker - the GasSafe lads have connected this, but could not connect the electrics due to Part P.

I have an existing cooker circuit and just need to wire this in to the cooker switch. I'm more than happy to do this myself.

My question is do I need to get an elecrician to do this work under the building regs, or is it ok for me to do this as DIY?

Cheers

what are the electrical requirements for the cooker & the rating of the cooker switch?

max electrical load of cooker is 7.4Kw

the circuit is on a 32Amp MCB

will be using 6mm^2 cable from cooker switch to cooker and the cooker switch is rated at 45A.
