For the past few weeks the central heating has failed to come on at the designated times and I have discovered that if I fire up the HW by advancing the programmer the CH will then fire up too. And if I then turnoff the HW the heating then stays on. This is not an ideal situation and I’m wondering if anyone can help sort the problem out.

you will have to give more information about your system, S plan, Y plan, or whatever, if you are not sure post pics of everything and someone will tell you which system you have
