Hi, My Father v. Sick & so just me now, to finish fireplace w/ stove. Air vent (I know correct size of hole required for our stove, floor cavity good, old house (so 5kw deducted pre-calculation) and air brick on outside wall, ground level and parallel to fireplace, all good) But where to Position the floor vent? (Chipboard floor boards so not precious!) I have a large air brick built into the left wall of the fireplace alcove, for air to carry through. Where best to position the floor vent so air will carry through very well? Does it effect airflow, how close or far away it is, say within a couple of feet? Thanks.
