So, I'm absolutely hopeless at DIY. I've sanded down four old scaffolding planks and put them up as shelves. Perfectly straight, and with the custom stainless steel brackets look the business. However, to my horror I've realised I've use wood screws to fix them into a brick wall (I did use wall plugs at least).

They are 8 inch screws. Everything is held fine and is currently well secured. The shelves are only going to hold books so nothing heavy.

Should I be worried??
Thanks
