I've found that one of the most popular home improvement projects now days is to install a wood stove. The wood stove of today is a far cry from your grandfathers pot belly stove because of the great improvements made in efficiency and ease of use.
In addition, some of the stove will provide consistent head for well over 24 hours on one load of wood.
There are two basic types of stoves available - catalytic and non catalytic. The former is the most efficient, however, it cost more than the non-cataytic version.
Most high efficiency stoves qualify for a credit on the US income tax return.
