Worcester 24i problem

please help!

i have a problem regarding setting/turning my heating on with 'auto' to come on in the morning etc...

also turning heating on too....

i have a mechanical clock fitted.

if i need to turn the heating on,it will only occasionaly fire up-probably about 30/40% of the time.....but,if the heating is in the off position & i turn on the tap for hot water,then (whilst hot water is running) turn heating to on position-the heating will always come on when i turn the tap off.

if i set the heating (via auto switch) to come on in the morning etc,it will fire up possibly once in every 7 or 8 attempts.

Too vague these boiler don't have any fault lights to give a rough idea where its breaking down i suggest a eng for this one
