with the timer(not digital) in the off position the central heating is running at a temperature I can never attain when things are normal, pressure hitting 2 bar, disconnected timer and still runs, the only way to stop it is turn the switch to off.

Is it the RSF Combi you've got? I.e Grey front with 3 dials to left?

Its still worth a shot anyway. If you take off the front casing, (the user casing with the dials) on the back of that, you will see a little potentiometer switch with 3 settings. Just double check what setting that is on please

hi , could only see two settings ....
central heating adjustment is set 3/4
gas value pressure setting mode is set to normal op

gas valve pressure setting is what i was looking for. If its on normal then that would be ok.

Was thinking it could well be the board. I've had a few go like this and it was the PCB. Call an engineer out to have a look mate. Sorry I cant help much more and let us know the outcome. Cheers
