Worcester 28CDi Extract Fan trying to start/stop whilst idol

Worcester 28CDi RSF Gas Combi

Approx once a week after running the hot water for a minute or two, there is a noise in the boiler that sounds like a Cooling Fan is trying to start/stop/start etc (verm verm verm) and to silence, I need to turn the power off/on and alls OK for another week or so

God news and bad news, come accross it before but only on the early 28cdi thats to say around 3 years old and over, it does not seem to do any long term harm if left but the only way to overcome it is to replace the board, not cheap but a service contract with BG or Worcester would be cheaper , not the kind of fault that would be spotted on a service untill you told them.
