The CENTRAL HEATING part of the boiler goes off for no apparent reason the flame on the controller.shows it should be on and the green light on the receiver is on but the boiler is off. the hot water works fine.
the whole thing can be started up from scratch and it goes on for a while and then stops with the green light on. It is as if the relay holding the burners on has died.
the override button does not work.
any ideas please?

is it a wireless thermostat you have?
also check on your boiler on the front you should see a radiator sign and it should be a red light on next to it
