Worcester bosch 24i-having to keep topping it up

I have to keep topping up my boiler at least once a month.
There are no obvious signs of a leak and apart from this the boiler works fine. Is this normal?

No... You have a small leak somewhere. Try treating the system with a leak sealer (LS-1 or Superconcetrate or some such).

Leak sealer is a little drastic without knowing more about the installation Dan.

OP: What make is the boiler and how old is it etc.

It may be under warranty (for example) and leak sealer could invalidate it.

It's a worcester bosch 24i junior combi and it is 4 years old. Warrenty has expired. How do you add leak sealent to a sealed sysem?

By reading the destructions....


Turn off rad, release pressure. Inject chemical using mastic gun into the top of rad.

re fit the vent.

Turn rad back on., run heating fro a good couple of hours to disperse chemical.
