Hi all,
My WB green star 28 has started becoming noisy on ignition. It does it on the hot water request when it hasn’t been called for for a while.
The boiler has been serviced every year since I’ve been in the house (last 5 years) and earlier this year it had the full service completed which saw the gaskets / ignition bits etc (proper WB kit) replaced.
My plumber has been out to take a look and check it over and can’t spot anything obvious. He suspects it may be the fan?
On looking around various forums it seems it may be the gas valve letting a little too much through resulting in the ‘boom’ noise?
I’m loathed to get Worcester Bosch themselves out as I’m skint and was wondering if there are any suggestions for some bits which i could get the plumber to check / replace which may remedy the issue.
All help greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Fez
