i am having floor boards up and want to put in the cable for a new boiler which is being installed soon what size cable do i require to lay before i fit a new carpet

Very minimum a 0.75 mm² three core for supply to boiler and a two core 0.5 mm² for the call for heat.

But thats only guesswork as you have not defined how the system is to be specified and controlled!
